Empowering Students to Serve Through the Manufacture of Organic Fertilizers at Islamic Boarding Schools

The purpose of the study was to explore (1) how santri program and steps making organic fertilizers as well supporting inhibiting factors using qualitative research methods. results this indicate that: that devotes life skills develops nine business units owned by pesantren. (2) step fertilizer begins with debriefing subsequent implementation preparing ingredients be put into a container, mixing ingredients, stirring until mixed, putting dough large drum tightly closed, waiting for 7 days, packing. (3) There are five factors, namely (a) accompanied people who have expertise, (b) having adequate facilities. (c) manufacture independent decomposers way minimize costs facilitate materials needed in fertilizers. (d) cooperative relationship. (5) student commitment. While students devote themselves number is limited so it greatly affects running unit. there still many prefer boyong from pesantren seek experiences. Not able manage properly, (4) not interested
